Collect the information needed for website setup in one place. This list helps you work to the same scope as the design and development team.
Brand and content preparation
Prepare logo files, colours, product images, descriptions and contact details. Choose your category tree and homepage priorities. Decide who will fill any content gaps.
Technical accounts and access
List ownership of domain, hosting, email, payment and shipping accounts. Grant only the access needed for development; do not share passwords through email or support forms.
Acceptance scenarios
Document scenarios such as finding a product on mobile, choosing a variation, adding it to the cart and completing checkout. Include failed payments, cancellations and out-of-stock situations.
Handover and post-launch
Clarify user roles, training, updates, backups and support channels at handover. Connect the domain switch and data migration to the launch plan. Keep a separate development list for new requirements.
